About the Role We are now looking to appoint a permanent full time Grade 3 Senior Social Worker/Team Leader in Subacute at Casey Hospital. Our Social Work service includes Women’s and Children’s services, Adult Acute, Sub-Acute (Aged and Rehabilitation) and specialty areas such as Intensive Care and Emergency Department.The successful applicants will have the opportunity to be a part of a busy, energetic and friendly Allied Health team. This position is based at Casey Hospital. What you Bring The Grade 3 Social Worker will provide quality care for clients with the use of competent clinical skills, effective communication, and active participation within the social work service and multidisciplinary teams. The role is recognised for the clinical expertise, consolidated skills and professional knowledge, ability to provide consultation and clinical leadership to health professionals within the Social Work Department and wider hospital setting, including liaison with senior medical, nursing and allied health teams. More specifically you will be responsible for co-ordinating and leading a social work stream in the provision of effective, high-quality care for patients in the designated stream. You will also assist with management, supervision and professional development of staff and students. A caseload will be carried in designated areas, maintaining clinical expertise.
