OOSH Child Care Responsible Person — Caves Beach, Lake Macquarie Area

Job Title: Child Care Responsible Person OOSH) Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Care - Responsible Person to join our team in providing high-quality childhood education and care to children. As an active team member, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with children, parents, and staff while ensuring the implementation of our organization's policies and procedures. We are currently multiple responsible persons including an Responsible Person for a newly established service at Nords Wharf. Swansea Community Cottage is offering above award wages including incentives for successful candidates that remain in the role for more than 6 months. Responsibilities: - Provide leadership within the child care setting by supervising staff members and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations - Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication - Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs for children in accordance with approved frameworks - Ensure a safe environment for all children by adhering to health and safety guidelines - Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, observations, assessments, etc. - Collaborate with families to support each child's individual needs while respecting cultural diversity - Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills Skills: - Proven experience working in a Responsible Persons role within the field of childhood education (OOSH) or similar setting - Strong understanding of child development theories/practices and ability to apply them effectively - Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) with the ability to build positive relationships - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating leadership qualities - Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail - Proficient computer literacy including knowledge of relevant software applications Qualifications: - Certificate III or Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent - Valid Working With Children Check/Blue Card (or willing to obtain) - Current First Aid/CPR certification (or willing to obtain) - Knowledge of National Quality Frameworks (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS), Child Protection Legislation, My Time Our Place (MTOP) Please note that this job description has been customized to meet the given instructions.
