We currently have an opportunity for a qualified senior electrical engineer to join our small, tight-knit and highly specialized EcoFit team based in Brisbane, forming part of our hugely successful Field Services business. Our EcoFit team can modernise electrical distribution systems providing optimized costs and extended life of installation enabling our customers to focus on their business. Not only can our EcoFit team rebuild, modernize and refit equipment from 23 of our own major legacy brands, we also have solutions to retrofit non-Schneider Electric installed base equipment. The key aims of this role will be to provide oversight and direction to the engineering department relating to custom retrofit and modernization of MV/LV distribution equipment and to coordinate project-based work to ensure the growth of the EcoFit business. Specific responsibilities will include; Provide leadership and technical direction to the team as subject matter expert, as well as reviewing and signing off electrical designs Driving the development of a platform of core products enabling custom solutions with a short lead time Set direction for the department and develop individual team members, setting and measuring of expectations for performance, quality and customer satisfaction Ensuring policy and procedures are current, accurate and are being adhered to Success will require the following attributes and experiences as a minimum; Electrical engineering degree, ideally registration of Engineers Australia and an understanding of Australian standards for design and manufacture of MV switchgear Extensive experience and technical knowledge in power systems engineering and design, as well as mechanical engineering, drafting and design of MV switchgear Advanced electrical auditing experience relating to compliance, architecture, and resilience Development of engineering documentation, reports, project-specific technical specification and reviewing/approval of product test results for final test certificates Tendering, pre-sales and after-sales engineering support At Schneider Electric your career will be meaningful, inclusive and you will be empowered.
