Description Senior Administration Officer, Majarlin Kimberley Centre for Remote Health Broome Campus Level 5, Part-Time or Full-Time, Contract till 31/12/2024 Rewarding opportunity Friendly and collaborative environment $75,182 - $83,594 pa 13.75% super remote allowance & 2 weeks additional leave (pro-rata if part-time) Majarlin is bound by its Commonwealth contract and as a result only able to offer Fixed Term contracts until the end of its current 3-year funding cycle. We have every expectation that this contract will renew for 2025 and Majarlin staff will be offered a new contract for the next funding cycle. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT Majarlin Kimberley Centre for Remote Health (Majarlin) is a Commonwealth-funded University Department of Rural Health (UDRH). The departments central office is based on the University’s Broome campus but has satellite operations in Kununurra and Derby. Majarlin is an academic institute within the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery and Health Sciences whose aim is to contribute to the development of a capable and culturally responsive Kimberley health workforce through inspiration, education, innovation, and research. To achieve this, Majarlin facilitates the delivery of high-quality Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health clinical placements, education, and professional support and engages in collaborative research to progress the rural health evidence base. Key responsibilities • Provide high level, effective administration services to support the strategic and operational direction of the Centre • Carry out administrative responsibilities associated with coordinating meetings, including preparation of associated documentation and various correspondence, presentations and reports • Provide financial support by maintaining financial records systems, processing payments, purchase orders and invoicing ensuring that budget expenditure is monitored and reported • Provide excellent customer service to students and University stakeholders by providing quality responses to a wide range of queries, whilst liaising closely with other areas of the organisation • Ability to work accurately with detailed information; including data entry, maintaining spreadsheets, managing correspondence, collating data for report and under direction prepare a range of written communication • Comply with University policies and procedures in all aspects of their work and conduct • Perform other responsibilities, commensurate with the expectations of a role at this level, which contribute to the overall objectives of the Centre ABOUT YOU • Tertiary qualification with the relevant administrative experience, preferably within an education and Health care environment will be highly regarded • Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, engage and influence stakeholders • Excellent operational, organisational and administration skills including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities • High level of competency in various software packages including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) • Proven record of preparing high quality documentation with excellent accuracy and attention to detail BENEFITS • Training and development opportunities • Join the University supporting its students and staff to achieve their career goals – in a personal and positive environment CONTACT US For enquiries about the role or to request a copy of the Position Description, please contact Janette Tam, Talent Acquisition Partner at [email protected] HOW TO APPLY Please apply online with a resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
