Please note, it is unrelated to your application Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced civil engineer to join the Transport Assets Team. The role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner wishing to build on their existing career and progress it to the next level. You will provide technical assistance in the management of drainage and flood mitigation infrastructure assets, and in the preparation and implementation of the Delivery and Operational Plans for drainage and flood mitigation related assets. You will be required to exercise autonomy and provide professional expertise in: • Development of capital works program for stormwater assets • Management the assessment of condition for stormwater assets • Provide professional and expert advice and recommendations on drainage and flooding We are seeking candidates that take pride in their work, have a positive attitude, are punctual, reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment. The candidate will bring the following to the Transport Assets Team: Essential: • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience • Experience in asset management planning and principles for Civil Infrastructure • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage programs for asset condition inspections, renewal and upgrade using Asset Management principles • Knowledge and experience in the use of DRAINS software for catchment and drainage analysis for road related areas • Proven ability to undertake the investigation and resolution of drainage and civil infrastructure issues and failures • Current class C drivers’ licence • Highly developed computer skills including high level competence in the use of word, spreadsheets and database software capabilities • Very high level of oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with an ability to deal with people on all levels and ability to explain negotiate and influence complex issues • Experience in preparing funding applications to secure grant funding and overseeing consultants Remuneration: base salary commencing at $90,468 gross per annum 11% superannuation performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary (if eligible) annual award increase For further information contact: Nicole Hume on 0414 195 065 Closing date: 14 April 2024.
