Position Information Homebush Boys High School is a comprehensive boys high school (enrolment 930 students) with a proud tradition of strong academic achievement and excellence in the fields of sport, the creative arts and many extracurricular activities. We are highly multicultural in nature with over 90% of students from a non-English speaking background. We have a focus on maximising student learning outcomes with a continuing commitment to literacy and numeracy. In addition to the general selection criteria, Approval to teach Industrial Technology Timber and Technology Mandatory (Years 7 and 8). Demonstrated capacity to effectively differentiate learning experiences to engage, challenge and inspire diverse learners Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and collegially within an experienced TAS faculty, including the commitment to participate in whole school initiatives Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to build positive relationships with the students, staff, parents and the wider community Understanding of school and current DoE priorities, and demonstrated ability to work towards improving student learning outcomes. General Selection Criteria 1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents 5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning 6.
