Position Information Model Farms High School is a large co-educational, comprehensive high school in north-western Sydney, with an enrolment of 1066 students, including 1% Aboriginal students and 16% who use English as an additional language or dialect. The school has an established record of excellence in academic and sporting pursuits as well as diverse programs in the area of creative and performing arts. The school includes a support unit of four classes, with three Autism Spectrum Disorder classes and a Moderate Intellectual Disability class. Selection Criteria Approval to teach Special Education and/or experience teaching students with a range of learning and behaviour needs including Autism. Demonstrated ability to differentiate the curriculum, and design, deliver and evaluate individual learning plans and quality teaching programs. Demonstrated ability to plan for Stage 6 Work and Community Life Skills and deliver engaging programs that incorporate differentiated activities to meet the needs of students with a wide range of abilities. Demonstrated ability to foster and promote inclusive, safe, and effective learning environments with an emphasis on PDHPE and Technologies -Agriculture. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
