Position Information Sydney Technical High School is an academically selective school for boys with a current enrolment of 905 students. Entry is on merit through the NSW selective schools test prior to Year 7. We pride ourselves on an academically rigorous setting and 100% of our HSC graduates attend university. In addition to the general selection criteria, Approval to teach English (7-12) with demonstrated capacity to lead staff in the development of innovative teaching and learning programs and assessment practices. Well-developed understanding of current evidence-based pedagogical practices, with demonstrated ability to lead the implementation of high-quality and differentiated teaching-learning programs that challenge, inspire and engage high-potential and gifted students to achieve their full potential in English. Demonstrated capacity to build and sustain a cohesive team with diverse teaching experience who are dedicated to the pursuit of excellence and continual improvement. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish positive, respectful relationships with students, staff and families. General Selection Criteria 1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs 3.
