Position Information Ryde Secondary College (Years 7-12) has an enrolment of 1465 students, including 70% students from an EAL/D background. It is a comprehensive high school with an academically selective cohort, an additional class for gifted and talented students, regular classes in each cohort and a support unit. The college has a strong focus on quality teaching, differentiated learning, Cultures of Thinking, collaborative teacher professional learning, student voice, social justice programs and a creative and positive learning environment. The college has extensive whole school, extracurricular, sporting and community partnership programs. Selection Criteria Approval to teach Business Studies and Geography (7-12). Demonstrated experience and success in teaching HSC Business Studies and junior Geography. Demonstrated capacity to differentiate teaching and learning for GAT and mixed ability classes. Demonstrated capacity to write and implement high quality, engaging programs and assessments which comply with NESA requirements. Collaborative teaching practices and commitment to ongoing professional learning. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
