Student Engagement Administration Officer Develop specialist expertise to lead key processes Fixed Term contract until January 2025 Part Time (0.6FTE) role based in Launceston About the opportunity The Academic Division at the University of Tasmania is looking for a Student Engagement Administration Officer to join their Student Development and Community Strengthening team. As the new Student Engagement Administration Officer, you will coordinate efficient and responsive administrative processes to support the various programs in the area. you will work with online systems that support program delivery like Career Connect, Purchase Now and Expense Me Pro, and you will develop and maintain accurate records to determine the impact of each project. You will be a detail-oriented person who uses initiative to seize opportunities and deliver outstanding results. You will have excellent stakeholder management skills and be able to work in a busy team environment. Multi-tasking is second nature to you, and you love working methodically to organise and plan tasks. This role will be part time (0.6FTE) and will be based in Launceston. What you’ll do: Coordinate responsive administrative requirements to support program delivery, inclusive of but not limited to, volunteering, employability, leadership, and events. Develop and maintain accurate records, collate and manipulate data from multiple sources and support the reporting requirements inclusive of impact across programs. Maintain online systems that support program delivery, including but not limited to Career Connect, the CRM, Purchase Now and Expense Me Pro. Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes; develop specialist expertise to lead key processes or initiatives within the role. Participate in other Student Equity and Success activities, projects and programs as required. ­What we’re looking for: Excellent administrative and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and deliver outcomes to strict deadlines. Comprehensive computing and data manipulation skills, with demonstrated competence using Microsoft Business Suite, particularly Teams and Excel and the creation and use of complex formulas. Experience in compiling, interpreting, and disseminating information for reports, workshops, and promotional materials. Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a continuously changing and highly collaborative environment. Experience in the Higher Education environment and with university systems would be desirable. Salary details Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $99,698 comprising base salary within the range of $76,302 to $85,212 plus 17% superannuation.
