Teacher Drama - Batemans Bay High School — Illawarra, New South Wales

Position Information Batemans Bay High School has a student enrolment of approximately 650 students located on the south coast. The school has links to the local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) and an Aboriginal Learning Centre to support the 170 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students. Batemans Bay High School has 8 support classes that include two ED classes, four MC classes and an IO and IS class catering to the diverse needs of our students. We are a well resourced school in a supportive environment were students benefit from a focus on wellbeing. The building of positive relationships has enhanced educational opportunities and allows students at Batemans Bay High School to achieve educational outcomes. Selection Criteria Approval to teach Drama. Ability to work collaboratively within the CAPA faculty to develop effective and engaging teaching and learning programs for a diverse range of learners. Evidence of effective classroom management to promote a supportive and positive learning environment. Well-developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
