Position Information Elderslie High School, located between Narellan and Camden, is a comprehensive coeducational school (Years 7-12) with an enrolment of 900 students including 63 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students and a support unit. Our broad curriculum is designed to cater for the diverse range of student learning needs. There is a strong tradition of academic excellence at Elderslie High School including the delivery of extension courses. Our students have the opportunity to engage in many extracurricular activities including sport, debating, dance, drama and agriculture. Significant links have been developed between the school and the surrounding community. Selection Criteria Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with Autism and behavioural difficulties. Demonstrated capacity to deliver differentiated curriculum across multistage classes that cater for a diverse range of learning needs. Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated evidence of working collaboratively with a highly dynamic team of staff, families and the wider school community. Proven capacity to cater for the diverse wellbeing needs of students in a Support Unit setting within a mainstream school. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
