Position Information Mary Brooksbank School is a School for Specific Purposes in the Camden Network of Schools and within the Regional South School Performance Directorate. The school is currently a leader in quality education for students with a primary diagnosis of moderate or severe intellectual disability. Mary Brooksbank School has 115 enrolments (9% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and 58% from a non-English speaking background) ranging in age from 4 to 18 years (K-12) across 20 classes. The school values strong relationships with families, other agencies, and the community, and is strongly focused on quality teaching, holistic learning, and community partnerships. Selection Criteria Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students  with Moderate to Severe intellectual disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, and other complex needs such as behaviour disorders, mental health, complex health care needs and sensory impairments K-12. Demonstrated ability to differentiate the curriculum and implement individualised learning programs through personalised learning and support  plans that are  inclusive and maximise student engagement. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills that contribute to a culture of inclusivity, with the ability to proactively engage with students,  colleagues, parents, carers, school learning support officers, external agencies  and the wider school community. Proven experience and a willingness to contribute to whole school roles and responsibilities, and contribute to a positive school culture.  Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
