The Role: The client’s Land Domain Team is currently in search of a seasoned Systems Safety Engineer to assist in the through-life support of numerous major Defence capabilities and enablers. You would be joining a highly talented multi-disciplinary engineering team working with various stakeholders across the Land Domain including CASG. Responsibilities: Execute the System Safety design components of platform-related duties according to the scheduled plan under the guidance of a Senior Engineer Assess and construct safety cases for both new and existing capabilities and configuration alterations Demonstrate proficiency in communicating system safety principles, effectively addressing safety concerns with personnel across various experience levels and professions within the organisation Engage in all engineering related system reviews, progress assessments, and interface control working groups Contribute to working groups focused on Material System and/or Support System components undergoing system safety analysis, design, development and implementation Provide support in the certification process of the Material and/or Support System in alignment with the relevant Defence technical regulatory framework Utilise your engineering expertise to provide advice and guidance where relevant Recognise and report on resource constraints, schedule conflicts, and other detrimental factors and provide mitigation Participate in Integrated Product Teams Promote synergy across all team environments with all parties involved Maintain an always on approach to safety in the working environment What you will bring: Hold an active Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) AGSVA Security Clearance (or higher) – mandatory Tertiary Education in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or a related discipline) Effective involvement with stakeholders at all levels, adept at relationship management and highly proficient in communication The client is an equal opportunity employer and are dedicated to providing an inclusive and diverse working environment.
