Position Information Marrickville High School is an inclusive and proud comprehensive public high school with a growing enrolment of 700 students that includes students in our five class Support Unit, and those students enrolled in our Intensive English Centre (IEC), which provides specialist English language development for recently arrived non-English speaking students. The student enrolment has been steadily increasing over the last five years and is expected to continue to grow in coming years. 57% of students enrolled at the school are from non-English speaking backgrounds. 19 students are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Our professional and enthusiastic staff are committed to providing all students with access to authentic learning experiences. Data informed, differentiated classroom practices have been developed and refined in a strong culture of professional learning and collaboration. Selection Criteria Approval to teach Technology Mandatory and willing to teach Design and Technology (7-12). Capacity to work as an effective team member to contribute to the development and delivery of differentiated and innovative TAS programs. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to work collegially as part of a team and a willingness to contribute to whole school and faculty programs. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
