Position Information Blakehurst high school, is a dynamic co-educational comprehensive school. The student population is approximately 1033 students, with 86% coming from a non-English speaking background. We have 842 LBOTE students, 555 of whom have English as an additional language or dialect, the EAL/D 18, Aboriginal students, and 16 international students. Blakehurst high school has a strong student voice and offers a variety of leadership and extracurricular opportunities, including interactive clubs. The school boasts, a history of strong academic excellence, through the delivery of outstanding, future focused, contemporary teaching, and learning programs. Selection Criteria Approval to teach 7-10 History, Modern History, History Extension Demonstrated capacity to plan, implement and deliver quality and innovative teaching and learning programs to differentiate and engage students in their learning. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to contribute to faculty planning, whole school programs, and community engagement. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
