Position Information Richmond High School is a member of the Richmond Agricultural Collegiate along with a Centre of Excellence in Ag-STEM Education. Richmond High School provides quality educational opportunities to a Local Enrolment stream, a Support stream with 7 classes from 2024, an Ag-STEM Specialty stream (from 2021) and an Ag-STEM Selective stream (from 2022). Approximately 750 students are enrolled, this includes 51 students in the support unit, with 13% of our student body identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Our school will grow in coming years to approximately 1000 students. The school is committed to excellence in teaching and learning where all students can succeed. Our staff are committed to quality teaching, innovation and maintaining a caring, supportive environment. We offer a comprehensive curriculum, including a full range of academic core, elective and vocational courses. Our school has an extensive range of extracurricular activities.  Selection Criteria Approved to teach Science, Biology and Chemistry Demonstrated ability to implement evidence-based teaching practices to engage and develop students with a wide range of abilities.  Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative member of the Science faculty, contributing to programming assessment and resource development. Highly developed interpersonal skills with the capacity and willingness to contribute to  extracurricular programs and whole school initiatives including Aboriginal Education. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
