The Opportunity: The clients’ Joint Team is currently in search of a seasoned Communications Systems Engineer to assist their Defence client across an array of engineering requirements. The role entails offering a broad spectrum of System Engineering capabilities inclusive of the provision of both detailed technical and professional systems engineering advice. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for engineering management and supervision of requirements concerning engineering, design management, integration engineering, and verification and validation. Responsibilities: Review and offer insights for updating engineering documentation Execute critical and intricate engineering tasks and offer guidance in systems and communication engineering under board direction Evaluate technical and design packages, encompassing scoping, planning, reviewing, providing recommendations, and aiding in action implementation Ensure that delivered materials meet requirements and comply with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks, providing recommendations and supporting action implementation Oversee and ensure safety aspects of Defence materials systems are considered and incorporated into systems engineering activities Supervise workflows and resources, preparing work area and team plans delineating measurable milestones and anticipated outcomes What you will bring: An active Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) AGSVA Security Clearance (or higher) – mandatory Tertiary education in electrical, electronic, or communication systems engineering or similar related field Knowledge and understanding of the ASDEFCON suite Knowledge and understanding of the One Defence Capability System (formerly the Capability Life Cycle) and Defence procurement / contracting processes and procedures Ability to cooperate and liaise with internal and stakeholders at all levels (engineering, commercial, technical) High level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with focus on Word and Excel formatting Enthusiastic towards solving complex tasks with an outcome focused work ethic CASG experience desired The client is an equal opportunity employer and are dedicated to providing an inclusive and diverse working environment.
