Teacher Foundation (Youth) Full time, Permanent $99,983 - $111,391 About The Role The Teacher Foundation Skills (Youth) is a newly created position to be based at the Education First Youth Foyer currently under construction. The teacher will be responsible for working with partners such as the Brotherhood of St. Laurence, Junction Support Services and Beyond Housing to support young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness. This will include delivering the Certificate I in Developing Independence. The role will also support delivery of foundation skills alongside industry trainers through the state government funded Literacy and Numeracy Support program. Selected Duties: Effectively utilise your communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate the commitment and capacity to develop the skills required to convey your knowledge, skill, and experience to TAFE students. Demonstrate your capacity to plan, schedule and manage your time to meet agreed deadlines. Deliver quality education programs to our students. About You Skills & Experience Demonstrated knowledge, skills and expertise in Foundation Skills and related fields. Sound skills in conveying knowledge, skill and experience to TAFE students and clients together with a knowledge of learning theories and learning styles. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Capacity to plan, schedule and meet agreed deadlines in the completion of tasks. An appreciation of issues relevant to TAFE teaching.
