Teacher - The Oaks Public School — Sydney, Sydney Region

Position Information The Oaks Public School is situated in the middle of The Oaks township, a semi-rural setting, 14 kilometres from Camden. The surrounding area is rich grazing land subdivided into larger and smaller acreages with an existing local residential area that is currently being extended into large building blocks of quarter acres. The school has enrolments of 332 students, with 10% of students who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. There are 14 mainstream classes across K-6. The Oaks Public School nurtures a strong, inclusive school community that promotes respect, kindness and a sense of belonging. Our staff value collaborative practices and work closely with the APCI to develop quality learning experiences that meet the needs of all students. We offer a variety of extra-curricular activities, including dance, band, sport, debating, didge group and enrichment programs. Selection Criteria Approval to teach K-6 and the ability to deliver high-quality differentiated literacy and numeracy programs with a strong understanding of syllabus documentation and the use of data to inform teaching. Demonstrated capacity to develop a positive classroom learning environment that enhances student engagement and wellbeing. Highly developed organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work effectively as part of a collaborative team and a commitment to build positive and authentic relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community. Demonstrated willingness to undertake and contribute to whole school extra-curricular programs including, but not limited to, information communication technology and sport. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
