Salary $78,564 - 111,391 per annum (pro rata), plus superannuation The VCE area delivers the Victorian Pathway Certificate and the VCE Vocational Major. The teaching teams work together to share ideas and resources to produce a high standard of delivery across all our programs and campuses. The teaching team also works in collaboration with SWTAFE Support Services. TAFE teachers are accountable for the delivery of quality education, training and fee for service programs in accordance with the vocational education and training standards detailed in the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) 2007. This position encompasses all facets of the learning process from course enquiry and advice to assessing and determining the training requirements of SWTAFE clients, The work requires the management of the learning process for students using a variety of TAFE teaching strategies such as recognition of prior learning, on-line learning support, workplace learning, delivery and assessment as well as traditional classroom delivery. The must haves Mandatory requirements Hold a secondary or technical teaching qualification which is recognised by the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Hold a major discipline of study within a degree level qualification in the stream being delivered and Have and maintain VIT registration or Hold a Permission to Teach (PTT) and gain VIT registration within 6 months of employment Employee Victorian Working with Children and satisfactory Police Check A current Victorian Driver’s Licence Highly desirable requirements A current Certificate IV Training and Assessment; Relevant industry and management experience as well as an understanding of current issues and developments in the Victorian TAFE system and the national VET sector Experience using Microsoft and Adobe Office products and relevant industry software and programs About us South West TAFE is an education hub with a difference.
