About the Centre/Service Jindi Woraback Children's Centre is a non-for-profit, parent-run committee located within Victoria University, St. Albans Campus. We hold an Exceeding rating to which we received in November 2022. Jindi is a long-day-care setting with Kindergarten embedded within the program, providing education and care to children 6 weeks to 5 years old. The role of the Kindergarten Teacher is to: Plan and implement an age-appropriate program for the children in conjunction with their co - Teacher and educators Plan and run group times for the program (if you choose to run group times). Create stimulating opportunities, experiences and activities for children, which will allow them to learn, explore and discover within the framework. Work collaboratively with a supportive team of educators, staff and parents to optimise the success of the program. Regularly add to the children’s portfolios Liaise regularly with families about the progress of their child through parent teacher interviews, phone calls or face-to-face conversations. Work as part of a team to create a safe, supportive, welcoming, and caring environment for the children. Work in unison with Management to create SRF and KIS applications. Have a good understanding of the Child Safe Standards Contribute regularly to the service’s Quality Improvement Plan Qualifications Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching A current Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration – provisional or full. Comprehensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks and an understanding of the National Quality Standards Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate (Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting) successfully completed ‘Protecting Children - Mandatory reporting and other obligations for the Early Childhood Sector’ training
