Company description:Department of Communities and JusticeJob description:Centre Administration Officer - St Heliers Correctional Centre - Temporary (Part Time) Diverse and inclusive organisation Great Team Environment Temporary Opportunity Up to 2 Years - Part Time (3 days per week) About the roleSt Heliers Correctional Centre is seeking a highly motivated Centre Administration Officer to perform administration and records management functions and services that pertain to the detention and release of inmates, either as part of a team or individually. The role performs core processing work within a team, which may include liaison with external and internal stakeholders, data integrity checking/entry and general administrative tasks. The role of this Officer is to also provide administrative support to the Centres Finance and Administration Manager and provide a range of administrative and clerical support services including inmate financial transactions, purchasing, stores, records management, meeting and event coordination, minute taking, record management. About you To be successful for this role, you will display integrity at all times, and be a true team player with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will maintain confidentiality at all times whilst utilising your proven experience and knowledge to meet the demands of this role effectively. Resilience, initiative, high attention to detail and accuracy along with the ability to work under pressure are the key attributes to succeed in this fast-paced role. Previous skills in an administration role will be highly regarded. Essential requirements Current driver's licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle while performing the role. Experience providing high level administration and clerical support and excellent client services. Appointments are subject to reference checks. Some roles may also require the following checks/ clearances: National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014 Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 What we're looking for Experience in an administration assistant position. Fundamental understanding of resource allocation, planning and organisation to support operations. Demonstrate skills in communicating with multiple stakeholders and coordinating team efforts to achieve mutual goals and outcomes. Evaluate current operations to identify and implement process improvements. Have a willingness to learn new skills and be able to handle crucial information with integrity and confidentiality.
