About the role In this role, you will be responsible for effectively delivering a range of civil constructions across the municipality and competently supervise and manage the full project life cycle of assigned civil construction projects, ranging in size and complexity, from start up to close out. Work type: Permanent full time Classification: Band 7 ($100,064-$110,990 pa plus super) Key responsibilities include: Be an effective and empowering people leader and coach to field-based crews. Evaluate and monitor output performance with a commercial focus. Deliver exceptional stakeholder management to mitigate potential risks and demonstrate project value-add to the community and vested parties. Prepare tender and contract documentation including drawings, specifications, budgets and other items specific to individual projects. Provide specialist advice to stakeholders, both internal and external, on complex and political issues related to the assigned projects. Ensure effective project reporting mechanisms are in place and adhered to. About you To be successful in this role, you will have a Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Project Management or similar. Essential Experience: Extensive experience and understanding of civil engineering construction practices. Significant experience in civil construction project delivery. Exceptional people management skills with demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams to deliver results. Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with a range of stakeholders (both external and internal) to achieve optimal outcomes. Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to translate technical information into plain English. Strong conceptual skills with experience in conducting research, analysing data and synthesising results into tangible plans and outcomes.
