Administer contracts with a successful Darwin-based construction company Your new company Our client, a local company specialised in Commercial and Residential modular construction, is recruiting a Contracts Administrator to join their team in Darwin and participate in the delivery of multiple projects. Your new role You will be responsible for administering the contracts between the company and its clients as well as between the company and its subcontractors. You will be the link between the Project department and the Finance department, and assist the team in the delivery of projects, ensuring accurate recording and monitoring of budget and variation and progress claims. This is a permanent full-time role, based in Darwin. Your key responsibilities will be: Review the Head contract, identify and report on all risks and opportunities within the project, including listing required notices and critical items. Assist in the contract negotiation with the client. In conjunction with the Project Manager, develop the project budget and revenue and ensure accurate data entry into the company’s ERP systems. Prepare and manage all Subcontract agreements, ensuring documentation is compliant with the Head contract. Administer the Head contract and Subcontract agreements into the ERP systems. In conjunction with the Project Manager, ensure accurate reporting of variations, project claims, retentions, and contract close-outs. Manage, prepare, or obtain the project documentation: BG’s, insurance, project plans, permits, licenses and approvals. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role you will have: A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable e.g., Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management and Economics, Quantity Surveying, Diploma in Building & Construction, Accounting. Previous experience in a similar role working on construction projects is desirable. A background or previous experience in Accounting is desirable. Significant experience managing Subcontracts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong computer literacy and experience in using Project Management software.
