Join us to make a difference for all students in NSW Position details   ·          Senior Education Officer Grade 2 ·          Full-time, temporary – up to 30 June 2026 ·          Close to Wynyard station & hybrid work arrangements available   About the role   The Subject Matter Expert, Senior Secondary Technologies is responsible for providing expertise to support syllabus development for the curriculum reform process. The role involves providing leadership and advice for the development of the senior secondary Textiles and Design syllabus. The role requires working collaboratively with a team of Subject Matter Experts across key learning areas to ensure that there is consistency and coherence in the alignment of the syllabuses for senior secondary Textiles and Design with expected standards of achievement and sequencing across all syllabuses. The Subject Matter Expert, Senior Secondary Technologies will also be responsible for the development of materials to support implementation. At NESA we are presently focused on an exciting, transformational program of curriculum reform, and this role is a great opportunity to lead the work of passionate educators.   On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:   ·          providing strong and effective leadership of the development of the senior secondary Textiles and   Design syllabuses in relation to the curriculum reform process. ·          preparing reports, briefings and data in relation to the evidence that supports appropriately   sequenced and quality senior secondary Textiles and Design syllabus development. ·          providing high level advice and expertise regarding senior secondary Textiles and Design aligned   to the findings of the Curriculum Review. ·          working collaboratively with Subject Matter Experts across key learning areas and cross curriculum   teams to ensure cohesion, alignment and quality in the development of syllabuses. ·          providing advice with regard to national and international research that informs best practice in   senior secondary Textiles and Design.   Download the role description .   About us   At the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) we work with the NSW community to drive improvements in student achievement.   We achieve this by supporting all school sectors with high-quality syllabuses, assessment (including managing the HSC and NAPLAN), teaching standards (e.g., accrediting teachers) and school environments (including setting and monitoring school standards).   To find out more about the important work we do for NSW visit our   website .
