Your Impact: At The Y School, we aim to uphold the Y’s values of Respect, Honesty, Responsibility & Caring through providing high-quality educational experiences for all of our students. As a CARE (Curriculum & Re-Engagement) School, we are focussed on working with students at their point of need, dedicating time, energy, and expertise to formulating strong Individual Education Plans. We develop rapport with students in order to assist them in building towards further education or employment, through options such as WACE pathways, School-Based Traineeships and university bridging courses. Our main focus is to assist students to re-engage with education, supporting them to dismantle the barriers and create a chance to flourish. You’ll collaborate in a multi-systemic team, working with Youth Workers, School Counsellors and external agency supports to address mental health and social & emotional issues. As the Teacher in this team, you’ll will be responsible for the development and delivery of academic and experiential programs, maintaining student records, developing Individual Education Plans, and building rapport with students and relevant stakeholders.
