Aurizon is currently seeking applications to join the rapidly growing Bulk QLD business as a Locomotive Driver in Acacia Ridge. Aurizon and Team Global Express (TGE) have just signed a major long-term national contract. This partnership with a cornerstone customer will see Aurizon secure a key position in Australia's growing containerised freight market. The contract provides for Aurizon rail linehaul services connecting the state capitals of Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. About the role: Operation of locomotives including mainline, shunting and marshalling. Examine and certify trains as ready for departure. Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures. Maintain a high level of on-time running. Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives. Provide high quality customer service to enable Aurizon to meet its set business objectives.
