We seek a highly enthusiastic experienced or new teacher, who is passionate about helping students of EAL/D background to succeed. The successful candidate will work directly with students and will also assist staff with meeting the needs of EAL/D learners. This position is for Term 2 only with the possibility of a part time arrangement. Essential Criteria: a commitment to Catholic education and a willingness to to support the faith formation of students capacity to enliven the values of truth, empathy, excellence, curiosity and collaboration in students with regard to the Mission and Vision of Sydney Catholic Schools NESA accreditation at graduate, proficient or higher level Experience and/or interest in working with students of EAL/D backgrounds to maximise educational outcomes. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build quality relationships on working with students and teachers. Desirable Criteria: Practicing Catholic with accreditation to teach RE in the Diocese of Sydney Willingness to be involved in co-curricular events You will have attained: a tertiary qualification in Education active membership with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) with a minimum accreditation level of Conditional SCS Employee ID number or a commitment to Register to Teach in SCS. Working With Children Check (WWCC) This role is classified as child-related work and therefore requires a WWCC clearance prior to commencement of employment.
