The Job As a Big Engineer you will prepare and submit proposals, whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process. The Bid Engineer typically oversees a range of activities, starting from the delivery of Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) at the Port of Import, extending to inland logistics, installation, and commissioning works. The primary focus lies on the ANZ market, while also providing support to other regions as needed for renewal strategy initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end bid process, ensuring seamless coordination between key stakeholders and delivering exceptional proposals. Manage the commercial aspects of bids, providing critical input to maximize value and ensure customer satisfaction. Drive continuous improvement by leading post-bid reviews and implementing lessons learned in partnership with our valued customers. Manage the end-to-end bid process, collaborating with key stakeholders and departments to drive successful outcomes. Develop RFPs for Inland transport, crane and installation contractors, and effectively manage the evaluation of offers. Ensure on-time submission of compliant and commercially sound bids, and play a pivotal role in client presentations and project handover meetings. Contribute to the written proposal and participate in site assessment visits, while tracking and managing risks throughout the bid process. Drive continuous improvement through post-bid reviews, both internally and with customers, and ensure all necessary bid procedures and processes are introduced and implemented. About You: Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil) or relevant. Experience in the wind market and understanding of its drivers and future demand. Project management and commercial experience, with demonstrated ability to negotiate high level contracts. Proven ability in delivering winning, multi-million-dollar product or services opportunities. Demonstrated ability to negotiate high level multi-workstream opportunities, and drive continuous improvement. Strong communication skills focusing message on critical information The ability and willingness to travel to site as required.
