Title: Site Engineer Job Number: 18627 Location: Sydney, NSW, AU, 2040 Description: Site Engineer - Tunnel Civil Fitout (TCF) John Holland & CPB Contractors (JHCPB) has been selected to deliver Stage One of the Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) project, worth $750 million. Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) - Stage One includes: construction of approximately 1.7 kilometres of twin three-lane tunnels between Rozelle and Birchgrove, in addition to tunnels for ventilation, ramps and other services. This major piece of infrastructure will make it easier, faster and safer to get around Sydney. Alleviating the pressure off the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Harbour Tunnel, Anzac Bridge and Western Distributor routes upon completion. The Project is looking for an experienced and motivated Site Engineer to join our Tunnel Civil Fit-out (TCF) team based in our Rozelle Site Office. Role and responsibilities Contribute to a safe work culture and ensure works are delivered to legislative and project standards Liaise, communicate and plan with the foreman and subcontractors on a daily basis to achieve target outcomes Ensure on-site works are delivered to quality standards and complete all relevant documentation Prepare documentation for procurement of subcontractors and suppliers Ensure allocated work packages and resources are managed to ensure costs are within or below budget, and contribute to the achievement of project targets Skills and Experience Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Mining Engineering Prior experience in roadheader tunnel excavation, waterproofing and tunnel civil construction will be highly regarded Experience working on a major infrastructure project will be highly regarded Excellent communication skills of liaising with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis JHCPB is offering permanent employment with one of the leading contractors in the industry, guaranteed career development and the opportunity to deliver a key piece of Sydney's infrastructure.
