Position Information Merrylands High School is a comprehensive coeducational secondary school (enrollment 850 students, including 82% students from a non-English speaking background).  The school’s strategic directions are, Student Growth and Attainment, Collaborative Practices and Effective Feedback. There is a strong focus on academic achievement, student engagement, Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL), innovative technology, meaningful community participation and whole school professional learning aligned to the school’s strategic directions. Selection Criteria Approval to teach Legal Studies. Demonstrated capacity to contribute to faculty and whole school programs. Highly developed interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to work in a team Expertise in teaching learners from a low SES background and with a language background other than English   Conditions The successful applicant may be eligible to receive a one-off recruitment payment of $20,000. (Conditions apply) An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
