The Role SRG Global Asset Care has a career opportunity for a suitably qualified Materials Engineer at our Riverview office in Queensland. Key Responsibilities: Delivering metallurgy (engineering) and allied services as required: Providing on-site metallurgical work to address specific client needs. Offering expertise in metallurgical processes and applications. Assisting with planning and undertaking comprehensive metallurgical failure analysis: Conducting in-depth examinations of metallurgical failures. Performing materials investigations to identify root causes and propose solutions. Offering general materials consultancy to various industries including mining, power, oil & gas, transport, and process industries. Participating in on-site materials consulting: Involvement in inspection activities to assess material conditions. Conducting testing procedures to evaluate the integrity of materials. Providing input into condition assessments for various applications. Seasonal outage work requiring interstate travel, mainly east coast focused travel Assisting in the preparation of comprehensive technical reports: Compiling detailed reports summarizing metallurgical analyses and findings. Presenting clear and actionable recommendations based on investigative work. Ensuring reports meet industry standards and client expectations. Assist in providing clients with quotations/prices for routine and specialist work: Collaborating with clients to understand their specific requirements. Generating accurate quotations and pricing for routine metallurgical services. Offering cost estimates for specialized and custom metallurgical work. Ensure that proper safety procedures, as detailed in the Safety Manual, are strictly followed. The successful applicant will ideally have: Minimum qualification of a Bachelor of Engineering/Science Degree – Materials or Mechanical Good communication skills at all levels (both written and verbal). Relevant industrial experience is desirable Previous experience working in an Engineering role will be highly regarded Analytical strengths, with good problem-solving skills Self-motivated individual with the ability to work both individually and as part of a highly skilled team.
