As Legal Counsel at our client's company, you will play a vital role in providing legal support and guidance across a range of business operations including contract negotiation, risk assessment, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Provide legal advice and support on commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. Conduct legal research and analysis to support business decisions and mitigate risks. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address legal issues and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Manage legal disputes and litigation matters, including working with external counsel as needed. Stay updated on legal developments and industry trends affecting major projects. Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance legal compliance and risk management. Provide training and guidance to internal teams on legal matters and best practices. Support corporate transactions and strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions. Assist in the review and development of standard contract templates and legal documentation. Participate in meetings and negotiations with external stakeholders. Advise on intellectual property matters related to rail infrastructure projects. Assess and manage legal risks associated with project delivery and operations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Law; current practicing certificate. Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience gained in-house or in private practice with a focus on major infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proven track record of managing complex legal matters and delivering practical solutions.
