You will work on a diverse range of legislation, that support the NSW Health system, from development of proposals through to supporting Health Ministers with the Parliamentary process. This important and rewarding work will allow to manage your own legislative projects, and undertake other legal work to support NSW Health. Senior Legal Officer (Grade V), salary from $144,140 - $146,966 plus Super and annual leave loading What you'll be doing Work with various Branches in the Ministry of Health on legislative projects to develop outcomes that support their policy goals Develop Cabinet Minutes recommending the Government’s position on proposed health legislation Instruct the Parliamentary Counsel’s Office on draft legislation and regulations Prepare materials to assist Minister in Cabinet and Parliament of draft health legislative proposals Preparing legal advices and working on other complex and sensitive legal policy projects. About you We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with: Legal qualifications, and holds a current practising certificate Knowledge and experience of the Cabinet and Parliamentary processes The ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to manage own workload, and work in a small dynamic team environment How to apply All applicants must review the role description and apply by submitting an up-to-date resume (up to 5 pages) and cover letter (1-2 pages) AND attach a response to the two targeted questions below.
