The company An award-winning Tier 2 Construction Company is looking for a Financial Accountant with a background in Construction to join their close-knit team. Based in Sydney, this company as an excellent reputation in their industry of New Build Commercial and Multi-unit residential projects up to $50 million in Value. The role The role oversees the company’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. The Accountant is to perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments. Responsibilities: Enter AP and AR Invoices promptly Assist with the recording of multiple companies' ATO compliance and liaising with external accountants Cashflow forecasting Assist with the management of the company's cash flow Perform EOM Processes and reconciliations on time and be responsible for the integrity of the data Assist with the related parties' journals and transaction recording Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to management Balance and maintain accurate ledgers Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports Maintain records of financial transactions for multiple entities in different accounting systems Prepare reconciliation between Procore and Accounting Systems every month Check Subcontractor's Insurance before processing invoices payments Financial Reporting: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement Qualifications: 4 years’ experience working in accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll and payroll reports Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
