Role Summary: The Senior Project Manager – DER Construction is an exciting opportunity in our Renewable Delivery team based at our Perth CBD office. It is a 2 year max-term role. The purpose of the role is to successfully lead small to mid-scale projects in the safe delivery of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) within Synergy’s Future Energy business unit. Key responsibilities of the role include: Reporting to the Head of Renewable Deliverylead the successful implementation phase of DER projects, such as installation of electric vehicle chargers in regional towns, or batteries and solar energy systems in schools and other future DER Assets. Responsible for the management of project controls and commercial services and necessary Synergy functions to achieve the agreed scope, schedule and cost over the project implementation. Manage the project sub-team as delegated. Build and maintain resources – obtaining a suitable mix of skill sets from within Synergy and external resources to meet specific project workload requirements. Responsible for the safety of project team employees and project personnel in accordance with relevant legislation and Synergy’s HSE policies and procedures. Identify and mitigate project risks to avoid delays and cost over-runs. What you’ll bring: Project Management / Business / Engineering / Trade A minimum of 4 years of experience in project/ contract management, engineering and construction environment. Track record of project management on client side, delivering projects with capital expenditure above AUD $5 million. A track record of identifying performance improvement opportunities and delivering performance improvement projects in an asset management utilities business.
