About the role: This is a Leadership 2IC role – this is not a Standard Disability Support worker position. You must hold or be completing study towards an Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management (CHC62015) or hold an equivalent degree. This is not a standard Disability Support Worker role. We are currently seeking a DDS02A- Advanced Disability Support Worker to join our group home situated ain the bayside suburb of Brighton East. The roster splits for this role is: Roster splits: 74:00/78:00 – This roster is a mix of full days and some afternoon shifts, 1 split shift 2 Sleep over shifts per month. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the day-to-day running of the house from a leadership perspective. Develop planned activities in line with departmental policies and guidelines Liaise with family members, medical services, departmental services and external services to help meet client needs. Develop, implement, monitor and review a range of client support plans, with oversight from senior staff, using knowledge of client need, preferences and interests Provide quality direct support to clients in line with their support needs, the program they are accessing, and all support plans including Individual Plans Administer medication treatments and therapies according to prescribed protocols or otherwise, seek appropriate medical assistance. Essential Skills & Experience Hold or be completing the Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management or hold an equivalent Degree. Demonstrated experience as a Senior disability support worker First Aid Certificate An unrestricted Victorian Drivers Licence A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals of people with disabilities Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Workers screening check.
