With over 200 Services in more than 100 communities, we positively impact around 45,000 lives a year.About the roleWe are looking for a reliable, hardworking and mature minded casual Maintenance Officer to join the team at our Lady Small Haven retirement village located in Benowa Gold Coast.Reporting to Retirement Living Manager the successful applicant will display professionalism, bringing energy and enthusiasm into the role. You will be service oriented, team player, have the ability to work independently, possess people skills and be passionate about providing exceptional customer service.You will work to ensure a reliable operation of equipment, adhoc cleaning and ground maintenance, while providing a variety of maintenance services to residents.This position required a confident, competent all-rounder with previous experience in property services or seniors living. You will have good interpersonal communication skills, problem solving, relationship building as well as an ability to meet deadlines.To be successful you will need to possess:A stable employment historyBasic computer skillsAn ability to work in occupied areas with an awareness of safety and respect for othersA building handyman backgroundA sense of responsibility and motivationKnowledge of methods and materials used in building, grounds, cleaning and maintenance workPlease note this is a casual role working 4 days/fortnight (total 24 hrs).About youYou are a self-starting and driven individual who loves working collaboratively as part of a team, however, you are also capable of working on your own. You have an advanced level of interpersonal skills which allows you to liaise and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.With your highly developed customer focus and excellent service skills you resolve maintenance issues as they arise. You have proven knowledge and physical capacity to use and maintain equipment as required by the role.
