This is achieved through Thrift Shop engagement.About the roleWe are seeking a values-driven Truck and Warehouse Assistant who will provide support to the Store Managers in providing adequate pickup and delivery service, as well as assisting with stock preparation by unloading, preparing and triaging donated items for the Family Store in line with the Salvation Army mission and values.You will successfullyCoordinate the pickup and delivery of all donated goods in accordance with written schedule, following Workplace Health and Safety Manual Handling procedures and other protocols.Assist in co-ordinating all furniture, goods and clothing being delivered to the Family Store by the public and Family Store vehicle, to retail or storage area.Operate the vehicle in a safe and effective manner in order to minimise the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life and ensure appropriate maintenance/service and cleanliness of vehicle.Ensure appropriate maintenance and service of vehicle, liaising with Line Manager for any updates, services as requiredProvide Warehouse Assistance and Assist with maintaining cleanliness at the storeYou will haveMinimum 1 year experience in driving and/or operating commercial vehiclesExperience in the recycling/transport industry is desirableExperience in retail and/or customer service environment is preferredCurrent valid Driver's LicenceIncumbent needs to have a reasonable level of fitness in order to carry out the duties of this positionThis is a casual position located in Innisfail, QLD.
