Total assets delivered per year are valued at over $150 million. This position ensures the construction of civil infrastructure throughout the Gold Coast is carried out and quality controlled in accordance with the City's Land Development Guidelines and relevant development approvals. Based on the Gold Coast and reporting to the Manager Contributed Assets you will be trusted with:Ensure compliant developer contributed assets which includes but not limited to, roads and drainage, sewer, water, bridges, water sensitive urban design assets and related quality assurance information are delivered to the relevant asset custodians within the CityProviding leadership to the Contributed Assets Civil team by building and motivating members to adhere to their responsibilities and achieve objectivesManaging the day-to-day activities of the team, resources, and program of worksEnsuring status reporting regarding deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues are communicated to various stakeholders in a timely mannerReviewing and managing the execution of various bond agreements. Developing and maintaining open and transparent working relationships between internal and external stakeholdersReviewing, updating, and implementing policies, processes, procedures, and work instructionsDeveloping and implementing the street naming policy Foster a working environment committing to the City’s High-Performance PrincipalsSupporting the Manager - Contributed Assets to action any other tasks as requiredWhat you bring to your new roleYour primary goal is simple - playing a senior role in the business, you will lead the Contributed Assets Civil team of 12 engineering and technical officers, ensuring quality contributed assets are delivered to the City in an appropriate timeframe. You will be a critical member of the leadership team within the business unit, promoting the culture, purpose, and high-performance principles across the team.You are an exceptional communicator, supportive, constructive, and open to other ideas for problem-solving You can translate technical complexities, have an analytical approach, and are keen to produce high-quality services.You will have at least 7 years of civil infrastructure construction experience and hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and a Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) status. In addition to this, you'll have:A strong background in Civil Engineering, preferably with a construction perspectiveExtensive experience in project and program managementPractical knowledge in process review and improvementEffective managerial and leadership skills We are offering a salary range of $121,717.17 to $162,167.08 per annum plus superannuation. The salary range is commensurate with working a 10-day fortnight and may include a negotiable critical skills payment that is determined based on your qualifications, skills and experience and is subject to annual reviews based on performance.
