About the Role We are currently seeking compassionate and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team in the (Insert Region) area. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play an essential role in supporting and empowering people with disability to live a life of their choosing. Working in both a team environment and independently, you will provide a range of services assisting clients to live independently, be actively involved in their local community, and engaged in meaningful opportunities. Responsibilities include: Supporting client with daily living tasks either in a SIL home or In-Home Support Supporting clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community through the delivery of a range of person-centred programs. Assist and support clients with: Domestic assistance, personal care, mediation support, meal preparation, social support, community access, respite, transport and development of daily living and life skills. Ensure the home is a safe and nurturing environment. Actively participate in the adherence to care plans, allied health plans and behavioural support plans. Maintenance of progress notes and record-keeping About You Similar to our clients, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. This role is fulfilling but can be tough, requiring someone resilient both physically and emotionally. We’re after people that have a good heart, with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of people with disability and have similar values to ours. However, it does help if you have: Ability to support others with personal care and domestic duties – and happy for this to be part of your job. Experience of working with people with disabilities across all levels of support. Desirable but not essential – supporting people with challenging behaviours and complex physical disabilities. Current Working with Children Check NDIS Worker Clearance (NDISWC) Current police check conducted within the last 6 months.
