Rewarding in-house legal counsel role for a 7 year PAE commercial / IP lawyer | Hybrid WFH up to 2 days | Fantastic team culture | Challenging work The company: Rare opportunity for a lawyer to work closely with executive management and other key decision makers across a variety of commercial contracts and advisory particularly relating to research, health and ground breaking work. About the role: Reporting to the General Counsel your day to day work will see you working closely with executives and senior leaders in the business as well as supervising junior team members on: drafting and advising on agreements relating to the research activities including but not limited to medical research, including clinical trial agreements, material transfer agreements, biobank agreements, facility access agreements, collaborative research agreements, licensing and assignment agreements, joint ventures, MOUs and funding agreements; regulatory advice on health law, particularly in relation to the therapeutic goods legislation and legislative requirements relating to privacy, confidentiality, access to information, ethics and clinical governance; and general commercial advice particularly regarding research and commercialisation. Skills/Experience: To be considered for this role you will have: 7 years' PAE with demonstrated experience in health law, commercial contracts and intellectual property. Experience in health / research related agreements will be highly regarded; ideally top tier or large national law firm foundation training; in-house/secondment experience will be highly regarded; demonstrated experience in supervising, mentoring and delegating to junior lawyers; and a commercial approach and good communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business.
