Quick overview of the role The Customer Service Officer is responsible for front line customer service either through face-to-face customer interaction or via phone or email correspondence and carry out general business administration duties associated with branch sales and operations. This role also supports the Warehouse & Distribution team with general administrative tasks and stock take functions as required. What will you be doing? Receive and process requests for quotes in a timely manner. Provide high quality over counter and phone support to customer enquiries. Prioritise sales orders and ensure they are entered in a timely manner with a focus on data accuracy and reduction of keying errors. Ensure all administration tasks are completed within the requirements of customer service policies, procedures and best practice. Ensure sales orders and subsequent changes are processed in a timely manner and communicated clearly to relevant branches and Managers. Receive and resolve incoming complaints as they arise in a timely manner and escalate to the Branch Manager as required. Attend regular team meetings to facilitate continuous improvement. Monitor and review keying error reports, KPI’s and proactively apply actions to achieve agreed targets. Develop and maintain knowledge of the other key roles in the branch, to facilitate support as required. Seek opportunities for improvement, take ownership of ideas and assist with implementation where applicable. Assist Warehouse & Distribution team with the maintenance and administration of PPE as per company guidelines and procedures. Assist Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor with stock ordering processes to ensure purchase orders are raised and/or receipted in a timely manner. Assist Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor with stock take processes. Coordinate administration & reporting of consumables allocations. Complete general branch and warehouse administration tasks as required. Undertake other duties and/or projects as required. What are we looking for in the successful candidate?
