About the opportunity As the Medical Administrator you will be part of a team of receptionists, greeting and assisting patients and offering exceptional customer service. You will be supporting 3 cardiologists with various duties such as booking appointments, billing, patient follow ups and referrals. Responsibilities will involve precise data entry using medical software (Genie) and adeptness in both Medicare and private health billing. What you'll be doing • Booking Hospital Procedures • Managing appointments and patient enquiries for testing and consultation in rooms. • Ensuring all tasks are followed through and completed. • Managing phone calls and enquiries, keeping accurate records of enquiries. • Billing and Invoicing patients for appointments, submitting Medicare claims. • Ensuring all patient communication is accurate. What you need • Understanding and experience with Medicare and private health billing • Knowledge of Genie system • Experience in a fast paced medical practice • Ability to multitask, prioritize and problem solve • Mature mindset, warmth and empathetic, providing exceptional patient care • Experience working with cardiologists would be beneficial Culture Their collaborative and inclusive culture thrives on teamwork and shared dedication, to encourage a positive work environment and offer weekly team meetings, and various wellness activities like run clubs and Pilates sessions.
