IAG services and operations include disability and allied health support services, sale of products and mobility equipment and aids to support independent living through its national disruption center network, retail outlets and local customer service call center. Key Responsibilities Record Keeping and administration: Monitor and ensure day-to-day process of collection, use, storage and dissemination of information and all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time. As required monitor and ensure that documentation is maintained in accordance with relevant legislation requirements and IAG policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, case notes, medication records, behaviour charts, medical and personal profiles and reports pertaining to progress of people we support, as well as organisational information required. Ensure work hours are honestly and accurately entered, and time and attendance records (timesheets) are completed at the end of each shift and provided within required timeframes. People: As required monitor and supervise the work of other Support Workers and ensure services and care is provided to the required standard and in line with organisational, regulatory and accreditation requirements, policies and procedures. Assist with training and instruction of other Support Workers. Compliance: As required and directed participate and cooperate with compliance audits. Perform duties and requirements of the position in line with all organisation policies and procedures, requirements and regulations from funding and regulatory bodies and authorities. Report all incidents promptly and in line with organisational and regulatory authorities requirements e.g. NDIS Commission. Cooperate honestly and truthfully and assist with any work related internal or external investigation. Health & Safety: Ensure a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues and members of the public and report any incident, injury and/or hazard to the responsible line manager, supervisor or team leader as soon as reasonably practicable. In the event of a hazard take steps if safe to do so to ensure the hazard is isolated and contained and does not become a further risk to others. Assist with reporting and entering details of safety incidents into IAG's incident management system, iONMY. Take reasonable care to ensure no risk of harm to self and others in the workplace. This includes immediately reporting any incidents, near miss, hazards and injuries. Comply with relevant Occupational Health and Safety laws, standards, safe work practices, policies and procedures and attend all safety initiatives, improvements & training. As required monitor and ensure delivery of service and care is in line with expected safe work behaviours and standards and completed in accordance with IAG's safety, risk management, compliance, quality and accreditation requirements policies and procedures. Actively identify, monitor and manage areas of key risk within area of responsibility and assist with appropriate escalation and response. Actively monitor the quality and safety of care and services within area of responsibility. Professional Conduct & Requirements: At all times adhere to Code of Conduct standards and requirements including but not limited to the IAG's and NDIS Code of Conduct Policy and any other relevant funding body requirements. Service and Care Delivery All client and IAG information, records, data and other material must be accessed, stored, secured, used, distributed and managed in line with organisational policies and regulations to protect the privacy and confidentiality of clients and the organisations operations and intellectual property In line with service standards and the policies and procedures of the organisation either individually or as part of a team as part of the delivery of disability services administer care and support in line with established and approved care / support plans. Provide personal care, support and assistance for clients in a safe and sensitive manner including: a) Toileting and showering, b) Communication, c) Assisting with eating and drinking, d) Behaviour support, e) Medication management, f) Transport, g) Preparation and cooking of meals, h) Assistance with care of pets, i) General cleaning tasks in the home, Undertake or assist with the delivery of a range of individual or group-based activities in community venues. Support clients to establish and build on connections, networks and relationships that extend beyond the service system (e.g., friends, community groups, neighbors, etc.) in alignment with individual goals and care plans. Work with and develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, family/carers, relevant case managers and other professionals to support the client’s care requirements and individual goals. Provide domestic support and duties including cleaning and food service, and assistance to residents in carrying out personal care tasks. As required provide complex care and assist and contribute to the development or implementation of care plans. Other Undertake other duties as directed that are considered a reasonable requirement of the role. Qualifications Minimum Requirement Certificate IV in Disability Support or Aged Care. Complex care training that includes but not limited to: Acquired Brain Injury, Ventilation Support, Spinal Injury Support and Dialysis Management. NDIS Worker Screening Check. National police check report - not older than 3 years from date of issue. WWCC First Aid / CPR certificates. NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate of completion. Covid-19 Infection Control certificate of completion. Covid-19 vaccination statement. Current and valid driver’s licence.
