Skills and experience To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following: LF Forklift License A High Safety Focus Minimum 2 years' experience in forklift operation (linehaul experience preferred) Enthusiastic and energetic team player Comply with all OHS regulations and Chain of Responsibility requirements Carry out all duties within set time frames and follow instruction Capability to supervise a small team Some heavy lifting - ability to Pick n Pack (up to 25kg) Job tasks and responsibilities Ensure pre-start check is undertaken before use of forklift and other equipment certifying the equipment is in good working order. Operate forklifts and other machinery safely and in accordance with policies and procedures. Ensure all inbound and/or outbound freight is: Accurately scanned, matched, sorted, and placed safely into correct locations. ‘Checked, Weighed, and Cubed’ (CWC) to reduce revenue leakage. Accounted for with accompanying paperwork in good order. Unloaded and/or loaded safely with zero damage within set time limits. Blended effectively to maximise load revenue. Compliant with legislative requirements with regard to load mass. Compliant with Chain of Responsibility including appropriate load restraint. Ensure all inbound units are completely cleaned and all pallets, load restraint equipment, and dunnage are recorded, removed, and placed in the appropriate locations. Review consignment notes and provide feedback to Supervisors on quality/issues. Match freight and connotes no miss-sorted or miss-loaded freight. Report all incidents of damage, shortages, split consignments, etc. to the supervisor in a timely manner. Record dunnage as per procedure and ensure load restraint equipment is correctly allocated. Ensure the yard is kept organised and tidy. Work toward a target of zero near-miss incidents or accidents. Any other reasonable tasks or projects as requested by your manager.
