TAFE Teaching Role for an Qualified Cyber Security Teacher Full Time Fixed Term at 38 hours per week until 20/12/2024. About the Role: You will be joining an established team of cyber security and information technology teachers who take pride in delivering high-quality and industry-relevant training and education to students from the Western suburbs of Melbourne and beyond. As a member of our cyber security teaching team you will be training and assessing students across a range of Units in the qualification 22603VIC Certificate IV of Cyber Security which is a high-demand priority FreeTAFE course. You will have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of your students and contribute to their ongoing development. Duties An example of duties you may perform will include: Delivering engaging remote workshops to students using Zoom Classroom across the 16 Units of Competency delivered by Victoria University in 22603VIC Certificate IV in Cyber Security (Please consult our website to view the Units that we deliver). Administering formal assessments to judge student competency, providing helpful feedback as required. Helping students to navigate our learning management system (VU Collaborate) to access learning resources & assessments Entering participation and results in our student management system Tracking student engagement and identifying students at risk of not successfully completing the course so that you can put in place appropriate strategies to minimise attrition Contributing to resource development and pursuit of continuous improvement Contributing to quality assurance by leading and participating in validation sessions, and Engaging with industry to ensure that your teaching programs remain current and relevant for our students This is full-time fixed-term teaching role for an experienced cyber security trainer to undertake training and assessment in the Certificate IV of Cyber Security until 31st December 2024. Salary and Conditions of Employment: The full-time equivalent salary range is from $86,846 pro rata per annum to $110,121 pro rata per annum, plus 11% superannuation and is dependent on experience and qualifications. Conditions of employment will be covered by the Victoria University's Vocational Teacher Enterprise Agreement 2019. The position is located at our Footscray Nicholson campus but you may be required to teach students at other campuses including St Albans and Sunshine and/or via remote delivery. About You: You will be a qualified or certified cyber security professional who is interested in sharing your knowledge and experience with the next generation of cyber warriors. Ideally you will have at least 5 years of practical experience working in an information security or cyber security role as well as having formal qualifications or industry certs in cyber security. Must hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or TAE40110 with required upskill units TAEASS502 and TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A. Also must hold a valid E Class (employee) Working with children Check to be able to undertake this role. The position is located at Footscray Nicholson campus but may include some work from home for delivery of remote workshops using Zoom.
