The Positions are as follows; Position: Child Care Educator (ECT) Status: Approximately 6 month Temporary Part-Time opportunity with the possibility of extension (0.6FTE). Position: Child Care Educator (Qualified) Status: Permanent Part-Time opportunity (0.4 FTE). Both salary ranges: Level 4.1 to 4.3 ($66,660.10 – 68,815.24 pro-rata) based on skills and experience. Job Description Albany Regional Day Care is looking for Child Care Educator (Qualified) and a Child care Educator (ECT). In these roles you will report to the Child Care Educator Team Leader, with your duties seeing you: Working with children and their families on a daily basis; Incorporating the early years framework (EYLF) curriculum into programs and providing guidance to other Child Care Educators; Assisting in providing quality programs for children based on their needs and interests; Working as part of a cohesive team of passionate Child Care Educators; and Generally assisting in the day-to-day running of the Centre. Desired Skills and Experience To be successful in either role you will need: A passion for working with children; The ability to communicate well with the team and parents; Previous experience working in the early childhood environment First Aid and Working with Children Check; and, The ability to manage the demands of a busy workplace. Please note that the Child Care Educator (ECT) position will require a Diploma of Community Services – Children’s Services or equivalent.
