In your role, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the renewal and maintenance strategies and plans for Transgrid's Transmission Lines assets. Your efforts will ensure best practice performance and effectively balance asset cost, risk, and performance over the entire asset lifecycle. You will combine technical knowledge of high voltage transmission line assets with risk and asset management principles to achieve our objectives for a safe and reliable transmission network. You will demonstrate leadership across the organisation by liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that asset designs and plans meet corporate, customer, and regulatory expectations. As a Transmission Lines Asset Strategist, you will also be responsible for asset performance, development and review of asset information (health index, probability of failure, and consequence model), resolving technical issues, and ongoing continuous improvement through innovation for transmission lines network assets. This role sits within Transgrid's Asset Management group and reports to the Asset Manager - Transmission Lines & Cables Asset Portfolio. Skills & Experience Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering Sound technical knowledge of the design/construction/operation/maintenance/ analysis of in transmission lines assets and equipment Sound understanding of the concepts and application of risk management Commercial acumen Knowledge of legal requirements relating to the construction and maintenance of high voltage infrastructure, safety issues and the environment Ability to apply both technical and economic components in the evaluation of options for solution of transmission lines asset management issues Experience in industrial relations matters and general business acumen Well-developed people and service management skills Excellent written communications skills for persuasive reports and submissions Well-developed analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills Skills and performance in change management Knowledge of various computer systems and Q.A. procedures Recognition & Reward In return for your hard work, we have numerous benefits and initiatives to support you personally and professionally including but not limited to private health insurance discount, motor vehicle lease plan, career development support, study assistance program and workplace flexibility.
